Family Financial Criteria

Growing Beyond Barriers is designed for families for whom the cost of therapy is a genuine barrier, not a preference or inconvenience.

We consider financial need holistically, including:

📊
Household Income vs. Therapy Cost

The monthly cost of therapy relative to household income and other essential expenses.

🏥
Insurance Gaps

What your insurance covers, what it denies, and what falls in the gap between coverage and need.

📋
Public Program Gaps

Whether the child is on a waitlist for state or county programs, or ineligible due to income just above thresholds.

👪
Family Circumstances

Single-parent households, other children with needs, or other factors affecting the family's ability to pay.

  • Willing to bill Growing Beyond Barriers directly (not the family)
  • Willing to provide documentation required for our grant process

If your current provider does not meet these requirements, we can help you find a qualified provider in our partner network. Learn about our provider network →
